Default Winter project, Basket case

So I found this 1987 FXR on Facebook in July all in pieces and was told it's 95% there just needs a wire harness and a few things. Ya right. Winter project ya right lol. Here's what I started with and where I'm at now. Will probably try to sell it when I'm done so I can get another winter project. FYI I'm retired and this seems to be a good hobby.

Looking great. I only hope to have the skill to do that when I retire.

That's a proper build, right there. Well done!

How much of what we are looking at was "in the basket"? In particular, there's a lot going on with the motor. Did you build it?

It's great to see another FXR brought back from the dead.
You definitely have the talent and passion for the sport. What a great way to spend you're time. You probably won't get rich this way but it beats the hell out of waisting your time in front of the TV.

No I didn't build the motor. Still trying to figure the specs on it. The guy I bought it from was into drag racing and always wanted a duel carb motor. He thought it was 106 ci. The case is Delkron, jugs S&S, Heads don't know. Top of the pistons are marked 6230 and 5".
