No they are very different frame designs and major critical mechanical hard parts are completely different.
Bud if you can't just google some pictures and see the differences I suggest you rethink this whole thing, it is not going to end well for you.

I see nice Shovels in my area listed for big money. They usually stay listed for a while until the price drops some.
I also see them listed in rough shape like the one you’re posting and they are usually in the $3k to $4k price range.
If you’re really into that bike show the seller $3k and let the haggling begin.

Man were are you finding all these "winners" ? Another swap meet parts pile build that's been seriously screwed with, that one has more red flags than the other two together. Walk away from that or your buying somebody else's problems , I can see several big ones you are nowhere near ready to deal with.

OddJack, you sure have found some "different" looking bikes for sale and even by California standards, what you've posted up are overpriced.
If you're looking for a project bike to build a bobber, then look to FX series (no rubber mount bikes cuz, as you have seen, the frames and such are way different). Only reason I suggest the FX series is that generally they are cheaper to purchase. Look for something in the 3-4K range (max). Means its gonna need a complete teardown, probably a top end at the least, paint, tires, brakes etc. but you get a basic platform and then get to decide how you want it to look.

The last bike, is FXS, which fits the project as you described. I mean, if tis going to get tore down, then $4K would be an OK deal. No?
