I think the mounting plate is a separate part, but it is well worth it. Your front end is not going to go anywhere, but I suggest strapping the rear end in-place so it doesn't move around. I always pull the front end towards the chock just to be safe. HD has a kit that you can put on the front tubes that has eyelets to attach the hook into.

Check out Wheel Dock, they are very stable, easy to roll in and out and they have a transfer bar that can be mounted to a surface so the chock can be removed in seconds, have one mounted on my HF lift.

My bike trailer is a 2015 and the two Bike Pro have been in there from Day 1. No problems yet and the trailer has made 7 of those 2600 mile round trips for the annual vacation.

I’ve used the HF cheaper chock and the Condor more expensive Pit Stop chock.
The HF chock works but I wouldn’t consider it “very good, high quality”.

If the OP wants a chock that is “very good, high quality” get the Condor Pit Stop with the trailer adapter.

That is what I am leaning towards IF I can find the trailer adapter ..... or more to the point, the correct adapter.

Saw this a Condor Simple Chock:

Looks like the chock is all you need - no adapter for the trailer? If that is right, then this will be a cheaper option but still going with a Condor Chock.

I have the biker bar in my trailer. Very easy and secure.
