I think I just created thumbnail LOL for my YouTube channel video on this matter. Still editing hope to release this one next Friday
Which is bad advice? Pre filling the oil filter or having a Harley Service Manual? Because I never pre fill the filter but I do have a Harley Service Manual. And I also have a Clymers manual because I like certain parts better than the Harley one.

The bad advice is to suggest adding only 4qts before test ride. Personally I dont like to ride my bike when my oil dipstick doesnt even indicate that there is oil in my engine. This manual should be updated to show 4.5 qts as initial fill as at 4 qts dipstick is not even registering any level, not to mention we end up with full mark only after adding close to 5 qts - this is bad advice.
Doesn’t sound like bad advice at all, on my last change I’ve added 4 quarts and the level was above “add mark”, after test ride it was good enough without adding more.

so far this oil situation is hit and miss from what I am researching these oil levels are all over the place after adding 4qts. Something is not consistent and my experience documented here is perfect example of this situation.
