What a coincidence!

I laid my bike over in my basement last night myself. Kickstand not down all the way. Bike didn't go all the way over....butmy front fender hit one those metal truss support columns and dented the front fender. (probably won't fix it... the light reflecting off the dentgives the paintthat "deep shine"look)

I backed over my last bikew/a pick-up truck (no damage, couldn't believe it, given the racket)

Let's see...one bike I slungoffa trailer whilehaunlin' it.(very little damage)

Stillhave the scars from the pins in my leg from when I was in high school.. (bike totalled)

I'mlearnin' (and lucky). I'm 49. (I took the MSF, you should too!). Ride safe...

My neighbors must think I'm a doofus. They don't know that I don't have a MC license yet and am new to riding motorcycles.
All they see is that I bought a new Harley Davidson and it just sits there instead of me riding it.

All right, I am a doofus. But I am a doofus with a Harley....so there.

No worries...been riding for years...yesterday as I'm leaving for work, the wife says something to me, I replied, stomped the bike into first WITHOUT pulling in the chuck. Bike jumped, shut off and left me feeling like a big dummy. Wife just shook her head and with a smirk said " Ride Safe!"

I was just trying to say that the bike didn't go down without me at least holding the bike up thebest I couldso it didn't just slam to the ground.

But if the biker terminology of a bike laying on the ground is being "dropped" then I'll accept it.

It is a part of learning in the beginning and a part of experience. I've been riding on and off for over 26 years and have dropped it at least twice..... ok, more times than I have fingers. It happens, pick it up, dust it off and ride it.

The most embarassing time was when I was doing a funeral escort as a cop. Came to an intersection, went to enter the intersection when a car coming from the left entered the intersection on a yellow light. I came to a complete stop, but forgot to put my feet down. Have you ever seen the old TV show Laugh In with the guy on the little tricycle?
OMG... sorry but can't help myself...

Now that is funny!!!!!!!!
*giggling galore here*
It was extremely embarassing at the time, but quite funny now.
