Oklahoma June Bugs! The big, ugly brown things that come out at night and buzz your head while you're trying to watch a dang baseball game. Hmmm ... mmm ... good.

Here in central NM, the swarms of gnats are quite tasty, given the amont of them that can get in yer mouth at one time. I wonder WTF they been eatin', 'cuz they are kinda sweet.

Of course, we have some sort of "B-29 Bug" out here in the mountains, and when one of those hits yer mouth, you almost drop the bike tryin' ta spit it out!!! NASTY!!!

Still have not figured out how those big bastages get around my windshield???

Problem Ive been having lately here in upstate NY, is these tiny little flies, every now and then they get inside my goggles or riding glasses and drive you nuts, Had one in my eye yesterday, I could feel the thing crawling around the top of my eyeball. Took my 15 minutes to get the damn thing out

 

I never developed a taste for any kind bug but those little brown birds with the brown specks on their breasts. Thats different. They are a lot tastier than the ones with yellow on their wing tips. JMHO

 

I would of thought roaches marinated in Tequila would be the choice there.

 

I've eaten quite a few over the years. That's why I like my windshield. But in the past I've had some nice big Jersey June Bugs. The later in the season the more of a crunch they have. Not much of a taste though.

Buffalo Gnats! The texture is amazing.... juicy without being overdone.
