You better bring some warm clothing because it can get very cold that time of the year and sometimes even snow.
Wow! It will cool off that fast? 9/8 is only a few weeks away and it's pretty hot up there right now. I've never been and thinking of going from the south. Like to go about the same time. Hoping that it will cool down a little by then.

Enjoy the ride but beware of BIG motorhomes with old people looking for wild life. One of them ran me off the road when he used his and my lane for a turn. He didn't stop to see if I ok just left me there. Three young kids who work at the Park stop and helped me get my bike up and back on the road. They told me that one of their coworkers got taken out by a side view miror on a motorhome and that one didn't stop either.

I did a lot of research before going there just last month. Read the HOG & HD web sites for great ridding areas. Did the Beartooth Hwy, Chief Joseph, Big Horn Mts., Cody, Yellowstone & Black Hills. I was most impressed with Beartooth Hwy. and Red Lodge. This was a last minute ride we weren't planning on doing because of unknown weather. It was worth the whole trip to just do that ride.
