My wife won't ride on the back of bike either. Gives me plenty of excuses to go on long rides by myself. I would prefer to be alone anyway, or ride with my buds.
I agree on the solo rides with the bus however when I want to go away for a few days to a Florida event I get the resistance and that is not cool. I have to start working on this several months ahead of time.

you are sooo lucky. I can't get my ol on the back of my glide for anything. She tried twice and was like a rock pillar. Scared to death and made me paranoid as well. I m a very safe and solid rider too. Got any suggestions?
