If they price it right, it will sell. Really the only problem with the Live Wire was the price. You could get a similar spec'd bike from Zero for about $17K, vs $30K for the Live Wire. Ain't nobody got time fo dat.

I’m in for it.

if I ever get one it won’t be my only bike. But just a fun rider and commuter. Having ridden some electrics they’re damn fun! And that one looks pretty good IMO.

you guys that hate on electrics are going to have to wake up and get used to it... electric vehicles are here to stay and will be more popular soon. I don’t think they are any better for the environment (In fact worse IMO), and they won’t fully replace gasser for most people in the next 30 years. but I like them for the power density they have. It’s awesome! But not without downsides, like charging times and range.

Get used to what? Seeing them on the road like a Prius or a Tesla? Couldn't care less. Seeing one in my garage? Not if I'm not buying one.

People on this forum, especially long term touring bike riders are not their target market. So, with all due respect…it doesn’t matter what we all think. If they can appeal to the short to mid distance commuters, that want to have some fun and save $$$$$ on gas…that might be a success. As well, it might work for those RV travelers that want something to run around locally on, that’s easy to put in a rack, and can charge off the generator.

I wish them success…

however the problem is the people in the market for these bikes don't think well of Harley. Plus giving commuters bikes with no storage and protection isn't going to do well long term anyway. Even errand bikes need something to carry stuff. That Harley is not targeting their current riders is why they are not making any headway. Redesign the Livewire to take the full line of Softail accessories, give it true L2 charging, and then offer up a bigger brother which can tour like like an electric Elecrtra Glide as CVO prices and then they may start turning heads.

I would love an electric motorcycle but I don't need a useless toy.
