May 8, 1998 a lady turned left in front of me. She did get a ticket for failure to yield, I got a pelvis broke in three places, four ribs broken, one punctured lung, broken collar bone, closed head injuries and a life flight helicopter ride complete with a complimentary wide awake chest tube insertion.

Oh yeah, I was driving a marked patrol unit with lights and siren on through an intersection where I had the green light.

Ya ain't even safe driving a police car.

Everthing CSI posted was spot on, no need to recant (great job, by the way).

Police only get to enforce the laws as written, if you don't like them work to change them.

 

That right there should be gospel! I am so siked to hear that coming from an LEO. Thank you!! While most people whine and cry about this and that.. a small percentage of us actualy care enough to try and do something about it. It can't get any easier than supporting your local ABATE chapter. I bet out of 3 pages and **** load of posts on this topic, there might be2 or 3of us that actualy attempt to do something about it.
