...but the cylinders and heads look like the robot from Lost in Space. Surely the MoCo could have done better than that.....

Agree. The 45 degree is H-D's golden goose. The PA success was helped because H-D loyalists were ready to try an Adv bike and H-D made a good one. If a sport / cruiser does not have the 45 degree style, sound and feel, there are a ton of other great choices. It will be interesting to watch the Rev Max entry into the cruiser/tour space.

An engine can be DOHC, 60 degree, water-cooled and still look attractive:

A lot of effort not only went into the engineering, but also the design/styling. Random admirers always comment on the look of the engine.

While I'm impressed with the Revolution Max's engineering, it does need a bit more work on the esthetics.

oh, ok, master of design who has never designed anything
I have designed a few things, and I say he's right. 4th post, huh...

Anyway, ignoring Poindexter, I think we all have to expect rough edges from their products from here on out. Just look at their "Leadership Principles" here: link . Quoting the 5th one down: "Speed - Don’t let perfection get in the way of process and pace". In other words, make the deadline and ship it, even if it is flawed. I wonder if Wille G is aware of that list.
