People aren’t asking for a long fender like the ridiculous Indian fenders or touring style fenders. They just want a real functional fender like what used to come on Sportsters. I had 1991 Sportster when I was young. Fenders like that would be good.

This is not going to sound it feel like a Harley. The price point is a few thousand dollars high and is pretty damn close to the price of a softail standard.

Doesn’t really matter though because I am not the target buyer as there isn’t much of anything in the lineup that interest me except for maybe Low Rider S and even then it’s questionable.

I like the idea of a nimble light bike with decent power in a usable rpm range and on paper I think this bike does that. It just seems to lack character or something. I like some of the offerings from Moto Guzzi more.

Once again Harley produces a bike with a crappy looking rear fender. I agree with the poster who said the designer should be kicked in the *****.
I'll take the Sportster s over this any day. As long as the aftermarket comes out with something to get rid of that ridiculous license plate assembly.
and **** on that stupid *** fly screen mini fairing. Get rid of those freaking things

Coming from someone who has owned several Harleys over the years, I think this Sportster is pretty cool. Except for the rear fender, like others have said.

It's the way they chopped it off. Looks silly. I see garage guys cutting more off, maybe to look like this.

Looks like the fender on the Iron, HD sold a million of them...

A fender like what's on my '17 would look out of place on this bike. Just as bad as a set of apes look on an Iron.

the fender reminds me a bit of Fat Boy's rear
(which doesn't look bad to "my" eye)

Exactly why I dont like the one on the new sportster. The old Fatboy had an absolutely beautiful full length rear fender. Don't like the chopped one on the new Fatboy.
