Test rode one last weekend, it was a blast. I actually took it out a few times, if I could have two bikes I would pick one up. But hey, it doesn’t look like every Harley made in the last 50 years so it might not be for you.

Lots of whining going on about this new bike with a sportster badge. I like it, the old sportster was getting long in the tooth and they couldn't keep selling it here anyway.

As for the license plate setup, blame the government for that. They have two options in my opinion. Design a bike around a license plate position to integrate the plate better and compromising the design. Or put that goofy thing on there that some people will accept but make it bolt-on so the ones that dont have the freedom to eliminate it . Its a win-win as far as Im concerned and without it shows the original intention the designer had.

+100, that was one of my favorite test rides ever

I think Harley was 100% designing this bike to be the following:

1) Fast and agile ---- which they absolutely knocked out of the park
2) Appealing to the younger crowd ---- which I think they also nailed; this is clearly not aimed at the cruiser or bar hopping crowd
3) Look like a motorcycle ---- it's got two wheels and room for 2; nailed it.

EXACTLY! Why all the hate?? I think it looks great and definitely will appeal to a younger crowd to draw them into the brand. As someone who grew up on Metrics and Adventure Bikes, I was never drawn to the Harley cruiser look especially the chrome look. Heck I bought my 2020 Fat Bob because it looked way different than your typical Harley

I think Harley is expanding their brand to attract the next generation to Harley, and i think it's a great move. Once all us old guys die off they need a loyal following of these bikes, who when they turn 50-60-70 trade in and up for a cruiser style,

That huge tank decal needs to go, Corbin offers a much better looking rear fender kit, and manufacturers will probably offer killer stainless exhaust system options soon, as well.
That bike has lots of possibilities.
