Deluxe versus RKC

Deluxe versus RKC
I currently own an 05 Softail Deluxe that I bought new that now has just over 14k miles. When I bought it I liked the clean, stripped down look. My wife and I ride every chance we get and there are very few short rides, most last all day and in somes cases days. I have since bought everything imaginable for the bike as far a saddlebags, windsheild, etc.
I ran across an 04 RKC with 7k that a kind HD dealer is willing to trade even up. I have no problems with my Deluxe but I think that the RKC may be better suited to my long day riding style with the different suspension, seating, and carrying capacity.
Any thoughts or ideas that may help me decide would be helpful,
I realize that the final decision will have to be made by me but am I
crazy to even consider it?

I assume you mean Road King Classic as opposed to a Custom. If so,I'd be tradin' quickly before the dealer changes his mind. You and your wife will enjoy the ride much more, IMO.

RE: Deluxe versus RKC
My wife and I ride alot on our Road King and it's very comfortable for me but after about an hour and a half she has to get off and stretch and walk around. Then again her car is a little Miata MX5 and after about an hour or so in that thing I have to get out and walk around.

I never heard of a dealer trading even for anything, but you did say he was kind! Come to think of it never heard that either.

RE: Deluxe versus RKC
I traded my 05 Deluxe for a 06 Road king Classic. Cost me 2,000.00. Ridden the King 20,000 miles so far and couldn't be happier.
