i took the old horse shoe tank off, the chrome was really looking bad. i wanted something differant, and i always like things that make the bike look older.

i have yet to see one on another bike, so perhaps they are not that popular??

what do you all think?

Like this? Be aware that the so-called "bolts right on, mounts included" is a wee stretch of the imagination. I had to modify the rear mounting holes some, and fabricate a front mount as the ones supplied didn't come close to working. Make sure you rubber mount it, too. I have some pics of the mounts if you want to see 'em.

I had to grind/cut part of the old tank mount off, too. Couldn't fit the chrome coil cover on, either. No biggie there; after all it was just another piece of chrome-crap! Here's a few more pics after it was all together.
