Default Dragonfly Green Pearl Paint

This is my first post because I have been able to search other posts for answers to my questions, but this one. I have a 2006 Dyna Wide Glide that was painted a CVO color for 3 months (Jan-Mar) in 2006. The color is Dragonfly Green Pearl and I fell in love with the bike when I saw and purchased it last summer. It has a black fairing that I want to have painted the green but the custom paint shop that I took it to cannot find the paint any longer. They state that it has a product in the Pearl that is not available that causes the "flop" (ability to change colors) and cannot match it properly. I asked if I have an accident or another cause of paint damage, what would I do? They stated that the bike would need to be repainted. Harley painted other Dyna models in this color and I was wondering what others have done if this color can no longer be matched. Or maybe you have a link to someone that still has the color? Thanks in advance!

Second, on the I can't help you with your question reply - But I really like that color combo. Sharp!

What I can tell you is there are some really, really good painters out there that can master up dang near anything to match colors, custom or not available/unknowns.

Harley uses PPG paints. Call PPG and see if they can help. They should have the paint code and be able to mix and match.Computer technology today at body shops and paint suppliers can scan the paint and determine the correct make up of the color. Just some suggestions.

Draginfly green was a paint choice for 2006. Is there something special that was done for "CVO color for 3 months (Jan-Mar) in 2006".

Gunslinger in Colorado are the painters for the CVO bikes. A call to them may be worth your time, 303-225-0854.

I don’t know, but that is a beautiful bike. If I found one like it for sale, I’d probably find myself reaching for my wallet.
