Default 1.5” diameter bars

do all the 1.5” diameter bars double step down like this? I know all bars over 1” will step down to 1” for grip area. I just don’t think i like the look of the double step. These are Todd’s cycle strip 12” rise 1.5” diameter bars.

I would like to stay with bars that have a point like these. Not the meat hook style or rounded corners.

i think i have to drop down to 1 1/4” bars to eliminate the double step?

They either step, or taper. I like the step because they look better IMHO. They look like they just go into the controls.

Here are my Carlini 1 1/2" Menace bars, they step once. No step at the risers full 1 1/2".

Thank you! It’s hard to tell in the pictures but at the top right after the bend it looks like your bars taper down in size before it gets to switch housing.

I was actually working backwards recently. 2 weeks ago I purchased a 2019 Heritage. I have the HD Get-a-Grips on my 2002 Wide Glide and wanted those same grips on my new bike. Knowing I would need new bars, had to be 100% sure those grips (still available) would fit on my new bars. Seems like I was over-thinking it, but the dealer parts guy was super helpful. Especially since I also wanted to replicate the height, spread and pullback on my new bars - making the Heritage feel the same as my WG.
