Default HD Lithium Battery (new/updated version)

I'm still on my original OEM battery from 2016 and have been meaning to pick up a replacement battery. When the HD lithium first came out it peeked my interest. We all know how they ended up, horrible reviews, horrible experiences. My local dealer wouldn't even sell me one.

Anyways, I was just on the MoCo's website and it looks like they are releasing a new version of the lithium battery. Does anybody know anything about this?

Lithium batteries in HD's have always been hit or miss, mostly miss..... no way I an risking getting stranded because of one, not to mention the chargers/tenders/testers are different for them

OEM (even though I know they are DEKA) batteries for me.... sealed lead acid or whatever was OEM.... works every time if cared for.

Don't care what they claim. Watched them fail (Boom!) enough that there's no way I'm putting one under where I sit, or can't pull it from the bike in 5 seconds or less.
My last old-fashioned lead-acid one in my Shovel went 7 years. I don't need to "improve" that.

Unless the reduced weight is important, I don’t see the value.

I'm being told this new battery will come with a 5 year warranty.

Just by judging the battery case, it looks like a Shorai Battery.

I would get it since Shorai has been in the lithium iron battery game for quite a bit, especially motorsports

Had a Shorai in my FXDXT, was part of a weight lo$$ program that included aluminum swingarm and Lyndall carbon rotors as well as aluminum excel rims…lotsa money expended for excellent TOTAL results. To just get a Li battery? Wouldn’t bother

I was just talking about this the other day in my shop - Didnt all batteries years ago come with a 5 year warranty, I mean........i remember the month and year round stickers on top of the battery that the dealer would scratch off & if that battery failed before its time you were pro-rated on the next battery.

this 3 year battery crap is ridiculous & if you get 4 years they tell you how lucky you are & this country is wanting electric vehicles............ when those rechargeable batteries are no longer any good it only costs 10-12k to replace em - thats a lot of gas.

The original H-D battery (65989-97D) in my Fat Bob 2013 only last 2-3 years before I need to replace it. I always use a smart CTEK charger when I put the bike in the garage. Will this lithium battery last longer? The lithium battery has 5 years of warranty, the AGM battery only 1 year.
