Took her out for a ride today, had a little nip in the air, all the creeks were full as we've had a lot of rain around here lately.

First stop, this guy is out catching some rays,

This guy was hanging out at the bottom of the bridge.

That's all folks!

Bike has been down for a couple of weeks, replacing fork oil, and straightening out some of the wiring from the PO, plus been battling some nasty allergies, with a day of a 24 hour stomach bug thrown in for good measure, however on the upside of it, bike is all sorted so took her out.

I had to get a pic of this plant, Ive ridden these roads for 40+ years and never seen one of these.

Summers coming hoping to see some of your ride pics, God bless, and stay safe out there this summer.

Great picts as always!
And we have plenty of these plants that grow wild here in Northeast Louisiana.
They grow very fast and can be that size in 4 weeks. I work off on a ship 28/28, so my yard will be a jungle when I return and these will definitely be in the mix sometimes.
Ride Safe, God Bless and keep the picts coming! ✌️

Glad the bike is sorted.

The plant is a thistle. They flower and send out lots of seeds for nest year. The seeds have what is called a wing that helps of float along to help it spread.

They usually can be pulled out ny hand, but use a glove. If you have lots of them, a broad leaf weed killer for your area (Southern or northern yards that use a different type of grass) works on them, but they need to be sprayed before they flower. And even then thistles in the area will send out seeds that may end up in your yard.
