with the counter-balancer on the "B", how much horsepower/torque is robbed vs the 96 ?

 

Don't know on the 96, but read quit a while backthat the 88b was around 7hp less than thenon-balanced.

 

Not enough to worry about it!!!

 

RPM=HP, SINCE THE REV LIMITER IS SET LOWER ON THE"B: MOTOR = LESS HP. SPIN THEM BOTH @6200= SAME HP

 

Also noticed that the torque peak is different. The 07 96b is around 2700 and the 0796 is around 3300

 

Two simple rules:
If you plan on doing heavy mods for performance the "B" isn't for you.
If you don't plan on going for performance the "B" is for you.

 

what were the peak torque #'s ?

 

07 96b = 89.7@2750 08 96b = 89@3300 07&08 96 = 92.6@3500

 

Just to clarify, these numbers are at the crank not rear wheel.

 

Don't forget to include the 100+lbs difference between 96 & 96B powered bikes.
