I never use the word"biker".
I am just a guy that rides motorcycles and finds motorcycles to be the most interesting part of life. I also do really give concern to who else rides or doesn't ride, or when they ride or don't ride. I just do my own little "motorcycle" thing.

I refuse to be defined by a single word. I ride. I’ll leave the house in a cold rain on the bike, when taking the truck is far more practical. I averaged about 12,000 miles a year before my son was born, now I’m lucky to get 6-8k, but his feet will touch the pegs soon and those numbers will pick up.

The term "biker" is just a made up word to try and inflate one's ego and to attempt to put someone else down by saying they're not one because they don't do what they do, the haves vs the have-nots if you will.

I'm just a guy who loves and owns bikes. I ride them when I feel like it, usually in comfortable weather. I don't enjoy riding in the cold or rain, so I don't. I do travel and deal with the weather as needed. I don't really know what a biker is, nor do I care. I don't need the title to feel good about my stance on motorcycling, and I haven't one thing to prove to anyone.

I think one requirement you should add is, "A biker repairs and maintains his/her own bike." That ought to weed out some of the riffraff.

I ride a motorcycle and prefer it to my truck when my children aren't with me. I've met great people because of the machines I chose to be around and work on. While people squabble about titles, I'll be riding.

I ride a bike, therefore I’m a biker.

If we defined ourselves by things we like to do, everybody here would be a gynocologist.

"Biker" was once a derogatory term. And just like many other words, some took them words as a badge of honor.

My only vehicle was a motorcycle from 1982 until I retired from the military in 1999. Easier to store when deployed, and then was cheaper to maintain and operate than a car. After I retired, I had a truck to pick up broke down folks as I used to live 90 miles north of Daytona.

Still prefer to take the bike for running around and traveling when I do not need the 3500 dually. I even have a cargo trailer to pull behind the motorcycle to extend the cargo capacity.

Wife cannot ride distance any longer, so the bike goes into the toyhauler 4-5 trips a year. I still take 5-6 trips a year with the boys.
