Biker or not?

That's a canned photo but that's been my shovelhead and me sleeping next to it a few times. Waking up under a tarp tossed over the bike isn't a new thing if you rode & partied in the 70's.

We would load up our dirt bikes and 4 wheelers then head into the mountains in West Virginia. It was not unheard of to stay out for 3 or 4 days just riding and partying. After a few days we would run out of food, beer, weed or fuel and pack it up and go home.
The great part is we could ride for days back there and not hit the same trail twice. A lot of the trails we made are now part of the Hatfield-McCoy trail system and people from all over the world pay money to come there and ride the trails that we blazed back in the 70s and 80s.

Pretty much every run we went on we carried a little pup tent and a tarp. No way were we riding home from the party afterwards. Sometimes we started out on a Saturday morning and came riding home Monday morning hung over, red eyes, just in time to go to work.

I'm 41, been riding since i was around 12 years old starting on mopeds, etc, I'm on a 2013 110th anniversary Ultra. I've owned over 40 bikes and own a custom restoration shop specializing in pre 1960 British Bikes. I am also an Electrical Engineer by trade and would consider my "shop" a deep bedding hobby. I currently have four bikes in my stable.
That being said:
I dont care what someone else rides or even how they ride, or the brand/ what they are wearing. I worry about myself, i hate the term "biker" i consider myself a motorcycle enthusiast of many calibers
cheers
