I just had a headlight modulator installed and love it, but was wondering, will this shorten the life of my headlight?

Information I've seen (from apparently good sources) suggests a modulator will EXTEND life of headlight bulbs. And my experience of having a modulator on every bike I've own since modulators first became available suggests that it will also extend the life of the rider sitting behind the headlight.

 

maybe - maybe not but the bulb in most harleys are available at any parts house.

 

I have noticed already that cars not only see me better, but they tend to react properly. I think the flashing light reminds them of a cop some how.

 

Without any doubt whatsoever, it is the best mod that I have made to my bike. I KNOW it has made a difference in them seeing me.

I highly recommend them.

 

Just one question.......If you own a Road Glide to you have to buy (2) headlight modulators???

 

You can buy a modulator for one light, and what they call a "slave" unit for the second light.

the idea behind them is to extend the life of your headlight.....and the life of the rider behind it !!

If it helps keep me safer, I would have no issue with having to replace it a little more often.
