What resources are y'all using when trying to determine a figure to offer on a used scooter? Yes I know there is KBB Private Party value etc. In the boating industry for example there is one I generally used that is reasonably accurate in determining value. Thanks and peace out.

 

What similar bikes are selling for on Ebay, Cycletrader etc. A KBB value can swing by upto $6000 depending on condition and upgrades.

On eBay, the completed listings filter is a good indicator.

 

I just got off of eBay, can’t believe what bikes are going for these days, especially the touring bikes, only a handful of Roadglides on there too.

 

My local dealer says KBB is off often by several thousand. They use an online system that searches on the vin for maintenance and accidents, shows the auction, wholesale and retail high and low sale prices. Then depending on their inventory and popularity of that model, miles, condition determine an offer or selling price.

 

This is the most accurate...imho

don't look at what people are listing them at, look at what they are actually selling for. a lot of people list for way too much, and they won't sell.
