Whattaya Wear When Riding?
#92
I don't even wear Harley t-shirts. I just don't do the branding/logo thing. Only things on my bike with "Harley-Davidson" or bar & shield on them, came that way from the factory.
At a minimum, I wear jeans, boots, long sleeved shirt, leather vest & gloves (not them cut off knuckle dusters, either). Depending on mood &/or temperature, add an armored mesh jacket or a leather jacket. Haven't been wearing a lid since moving to MO. That may or may not change. Guess I wear the vest out of habit, having grown up "in the scene" as a kid in the '70's & '80's. Besides, where else am I gonna carry my smokes, cell phone, glasses, etc.? I don't do the whole "look at my cool patch collection" thing, either. Just a couple of small veteran/patriot type things & that's it.

I wear the best quality motorcycle specific riding gear I can buy. I value my skin and want protection.
Leather jacket: Langlitz
Textile jacket: Rukka
Mesh jacket: Rukka
Riding jeans: Rokker
Gloves: Rukka
Boots: Forma/Altberg/TCX
Helmet: Schuberth
I couldn't care less about the HD branding. I did own an HD FXRG "Switchback" leather jacket that was technically 4 season, but was a pain in the *** due to all the different layers, clips, zips etc....sold that and never looked back.

I switched to textile years ago and currently wear a HD waterproof textile jacket - for two reasons. I no longer wanted to carry rain gear as a complete waste of luggage space and I require a XXXL jacket. I found that the run-of-the-mill, dime-a-dozen bike shops seemed to carry gear fashionably sized only for prepubescent Asian females. I'm not any fan of sporting HD underwear and drink coasters, but they carry clothing gear in my size and it's in stock.

Yes indeed. And just like a Rolex, it's a quality piece that does the job perfectly and nothing more. Sadly, Rolex's depreciate less / appreciate more than Langlitz jackets do, but my kids will still argue about who gets it when I am gone.
Funnily enough, with the Langlitz jacket, the lining took longer to break in properly than the leather did.

I wear them. I like their button down shirts. I own I think 4 short sleeve ones and 3 long sleeve shirts. I would of have more if they did more shirts in slim fit. Regular is too damn baggy for me around mid section.
However, I would probably never buy a HD branded leather jacket. I am very biased when it comes to that and it's hard for me to like anything other than Vanson.
