GAGIRL, that is such a cool looking horse in your sig! I thought it was a Great Dane at first. What breed is it? Ed
LOL! Thanks! Haven't heard the Great Dane comment before as I usually hear about that big Dalmatian I'm riding. That's my leopard Appaloosa stallion.

Lowering a bike is not the only option to get a good flat footed grip. Changing the width of your seat will help too. For instance:When I sit ona street glide, I find that it's not necessarily too tall, but that the seat is too wide for me. I can barely plant my feet. With a narrower seat that would no longer be a problem.

I don't mind wearing a low heel (2" or less) with a good gripping sole. I think the higher the heel and the smoother the sole, the more precarious it is. Doesn't mean it can't be done....I could probably ride in anything from flip flops to Stilletosif I wanted to ... Just choose not to.

Themain problem I see with spiky heels and riding your own bike (not on the back) is stability at a stop. Spiky heels are not all that stable to begin with and usually don't have much traction.if the bike were to start to lean you could easily drop the bike. More power to anyone who can wear them but I’m not taking any chances of dropping my bike. I want to have as much control as I can. I firmly believe you must wear a good “riding” boot….not just any boot. Riding boots provide more support and traction. My current boots are flat with no heel. I wouldn’t mind finding a riding boot with a 1 inch heel or something similar.

Yes, but those were scooters sweetie, and not our big 600+ lb hogs. I'm sure I would ruin lots of perfectly good stillettos just putting my heels down for stops on my bike. I'll stick to my biker boots.

For lots of photos of chicks in boots with stilletto heels, you might just want to peruse the showdown forum.

Ok now, all you guys who slam your bikes be careful of that lean angle.

Come on girls, this is where I think we are supposed to take off our shoes and get back in the kitchen to bake some cookies or something.
Finally a voice of reason.

What type of cookies?
