At least the loud pipes work better on the stray Human that wants to jump in front of you. They hear those pipes and get the 'deer in the headlight' stance. Hehe...Sorry...twisted humour today. I'm BORED and I want the dealer to call me, dangit! Hehe...

I am looking at installing the Hornet on my Classic. Where did you mount the Hornet?

Following up on the deer whistles - they work great! I haven't seen a deer since I put them on. However, they don't work on dead cats; they just lay there.

I used to sell them at the parts house when they first came out. I sold more to the hunters when I told them they could turn them around backwards and the deer would come to them.

I don’t think most of you guys know what you’re talking about. Here in Wisconsin we use those deer whistles all the time and they work great. Put one of those things on you’re truck and head down a back road and once the dear hear that whistle they come a running, brings them right to you gets them in to gun range real quick. Never thought about turning them around backwards have to give it a try might work better.

I guess I can't say I'm 100% convinced they work, but where I live, just in October, there were 8 bikes in the shop with deer strike damage at one time. Makes you want to try anything to avoid being one of those. Have a good friend who was one of them last year. We live in Ohio where more deer are killed by vehicles than hunters !!

Just so I'm clear on this, How many hunters are killed by vehicles?

My dad used to buy those all the time. Worked pretty good too, the deer hit the side of his truck.
