WHAT A DAY FOR A RIDE YESTERDAY

RE: WHAT A DAY FOR A RIDE YESTERDAY
Yesterday mornings ride was the first time I've been caught in the rain this year. We are in the middle of our monsoon season and even though it usually is an evening rain, mornings are not uncommon and yesterday as I was coming back down the mountain I rode into the rain. Atleast it was a nice gentle happening and not a down pour !!

Have to agree! Took a similar ride... started near Trenton, through New Hope, but i crossed the Delaware back into NJ in Belvidere and then up through Warren County, and back home. About 200 miles here, as well.
On a side note, yesterday was my longest trip into a state that allows riders without helmets (PA). Though i didn't choose to do that myself, i was amazed at how many riders chose to ride without lids. Not saying anything good/bad about this, but it was my first time seeing a significant number of riders without them.

Definately agree. Did 250 miles, left from Chester, NY rode the Hawks Nest, then back down 209 to PA, a bunch of roads in PA along the Delaware, back into NY road through parts of Sullivan, Orange, Ulster, and Rockland counties. That was my longest ride on a Harley since I got it about a month ago now, so glad I got rid of my rice rocket.

Did a little putt yesterday as well. Left Delaware, headed upto Valley Forge State Park, up and around King of Prussia, down some back roads through Newton Square, thru Media and then back home. Put about 150 miles on the bike. Have to agree, the weather yesterday was great.
As a side note... Anyone out there do the bike run from Philly to I believe it was Atlantic City. It was the second annual fund raiser for someone who I believe was in the Military and was killed in the war. I'm not sure how accurate I am here, but it looked to be a great outing for a very good cause. I was not aware of it until I saw it on the news last night.
