Default Looking for a good bike jack, andy suggestions?

Im on the market for a jack for my 03 heritage classic.

I looked around a little today and saw a craftsman at sears on salefor 70 bucks, and another craftsman for about double the price that weighed half as much.

The 70 dollaer jack, has mixed reviews, some saying its good for money others saying its garbage. Didn't read any reviews on the other.

Basically if anyone has a suggestion, or knows a good place to shop for a bike jack please let me know. I figured a bike dealer is gonna charge a premium on it like everything else, but I dont know where else to look. I know I should get a decent jack, as to do my own service will save me alot in the long run so its worth it

don't want to start another jack thread, but the yellow Sears jack is pretty good and has had good reviews here on the forum. I have one that I use on my WG and my UC and it works well.

stay away from putting ur bike up on a china made jack.. unless you lack funds for your expensive HD bike..

actually if u live in oregon ill sell ya the red jack for 50bucks sears..

check out a J&S jack or a Pitbull or several others

yeah people will say the yellow or red jack will do just fine.. but f'n no way since i bought the J&S jack there is no way to compare them..

I was going to buy myself the red jack, but I wanted the yellow. I just could not justufy the cost. Luckily for me, the wife bought the yellow jack for me, and it is great. IMO.

J&S, all the way. Its hands down better thatn either of the sears jacks. Yes, it costs more, but its worth it. I had the red sears, and a bud had the yellow...J&S beats them both it quality, lifting height, and stability while the bike is in the air. I can lift my Ultra 19 inches, grab hold and move it around the garage, Without strapping it down. I can also climb on and move around with no fears if I need to.

I've hadthe Red and Black Sears jack for 2 years without any problems, best buck I ever spent. Buying a jack isn't Rocket Science, buy it, take it home, try it out, if you don't like it take it back.

Ditto, again, on the J & S jack. Very stable, wider lifting platform (so you don't mess up your shocks under there), rolls around with the bike up in the air freely. Definitely worth the extra money spent to make sure your $20K bike doesn't fall off a cheaply made jack.

I've got the Sears red jack, it works fine, slide it under my Ultra and jack it up. Nothing complicated about it, did an engine build with bike up on jack in locked position and was stable while working on it.

I'm satisfied with the Sears yellow jack for detail and LIGHT wrenching.
