I have tools, 12 volt pump, repair items and a home made set of jumper cables.
The home made jumper cables are just trolling motor clamps with some stranded cable. The cables got warm but they worked.
Rolls really small and has been used several times to help others.
My process:
Run good bike with wires connected but dead bike OFF.
Do this for a few minutes in order to introduce a float charge and then turn good bike OFF and crank dead bike with wires still connected.
The starter post and a solid metal piece for ground worked in order to start the harley riders i have assisted.
Note:
Some jump packs require dead battery to have a minimum voltage or they will not activate the jump start procedure.

I've carried one for a few years, only had to use it once. Came out of the hotel room in the morning, bike turned over a few times slowly but no go. Put one clamp on the positive post of the starter, the other on the footpeg...fired right up. Battery was just starting to go south, would start good during the day but sitting overnight would drain enough that it wouldn't start.
I'm thinking of getting another so I can always have one for the bike & car but I don't know how the hot & cold temperature would affect these things. Gotta look into that more.

I have the Audew one, starts my dead diesel and my v10 van no problem. Best invention ever. I'll probably never use cables again. I couldn't believe it a few years ago when a guy pulled over when I got my cables out to jump a stranded car on the side of the road, he said get out of the way, I got it. I kinda chuckled and thought, yeah right dude. Everyone I jump says wtf, what is that thing, where did you get it? I've probably sold 20 for them.
