SE Team take 1st and 2nd at Road America, King of Baggers race. That puts HD and Indian in a tie for first place going into round 3 in three weeks in California.

 

Here are the highlights

 

I was waiting for the 80 mile an hour celebration wheelie,,,,,,

 

The video does not show all of the first laps but it looks like there was a good battle going on until the Indian of O'Hara broke, but that's racing. I'm not sure how they are awarding points to the riders but Indian 1 and HD 1 heading into the final race at Laguna Seca in three weeks I believe for a date. The DNF for Indian may give Harley the lead in points as Kyle finished second in the first race and now 1st here.

 

I cannot stress enough how much I love this series!

I wish we would see more competition out there, get BMW involved, etc..


Maybe Honda would grace us with their Repsol Goldwing

I went both days to Road America ,,The atmosphere was great and just watching the folks just say how long they have waiting for this,,,,spoke to some pit guys for VH and the Hoban Bros. Racing crew and they all said its such a breathe of fresh air for the "Bagger" racing community and its growing,,,If you ever get a chance to get to a KOB race,,,highly recommended

 

Even though I looked calm and relaxed, there was a little HD fanboy in me that was cheering them on...

 

That is a secondary cooler added into the oil that is returning from the cylinder heads. This is the hottest oil so the cooler added at that point does the most good. The original cooler is still in place and functioning. These things get very hot when running higher (4500 up) RPM all the time as they do in the races.

 

Well to add to the drama for the last Bagger race in three weeks Kyle was racing his Superbike after the Bagger race today and went down. He is hurt and flying to CA for a check out tomorrow. Let's hope he hasn't broken anything and is just sore.
