Anyone here not feel guilty about missing Bike Week?

RE: Anyone here not feel guilty about missing Bike Week?
I'd like to do Sturgis one time. But I would probably spend more time riding away from all the activities than being involved in them. Daytona. I doubt it and probably won't miss it. Myrtle Beach I want to do in the fall but not the spring one. Other than that I like the smaller rallies like Gettysburg and Delmarva. Not really into huge crowds with a bunch of drunks and people showing off their trailer queens.

i miss getting to the bike weeks. when i lived in montana, it was a nice ride over to sturigs. we would spend a 2 days or so looking at all the bullshyt, then take off for yellowstone park then home. always had more fun on the ride there and back that at the ralleys.
its not that i dont like them, its the once you have seen one ........... thing.

Can't handle crowds, would take atleast a week to get there @250 mi a day on my ridgid chopper, can't feature trailering it. There are quite a few runs(not as big) each year here in Texas, have really enjoyed taking off for a long weekedand am a regular at local runs. Enough sex, drugs, rock&roll and Hogs to keep me satisfied in my old age. I have enough merit badges, don't need bike week or Sturgis to feel complete.

I go every yearto race the alligator enduro.I don't go to get alot of seat time on my Harley but I go to watch all the different types of racing, flattrack, enduro, supercross, roadracing, its a great time and we do ride along the ocean to wind down, meet alot of people and have a great time.I usually stay in Jacksonville Beach so we get a 2hr ride to the hotel every evening unless we crash with friends.I would not feel guilty if I did not go but I would take alot of crap about getting old from my buds from all over the US that go.

as every year passes,,, its harder for me to deal with the long lines and all the get rich quick money grabs!!!
weve attended a few rallies that are like 1sT, 3rd,4th, annual,,, they are the most fun,,,
get to know most people by the end of the weekend, and its not overly crowded !

All Rally's have ups and downs, positives and negatives, they are interesting and most are fun (even in the rain)
So far this year alone I have been to,
Daytona Spring Bike Week,
Cherokee Survivors Rally,
Myrtle Beach Spring Rally,
Gettysburg Bike Week,
Rally's coming up.... Myrtle Beach Fall Rally, maybe Sturgis next year.

No guilt here. I've been to a fewof themmyself.
First and last Daytona I went too: Feb 2002; Crowded and overpriced. Took 1.5 hours to go 6 miles in traffic, and someone who was a regular there said I must have caught it on a good day. [8D]
Myrtle Beach Bike Weeks: Been to 5 fall rallies and 2 spring rallies. Fall rallies are the best time. Not as crowded, plus you can get decent deals with most of the vendors. You know, that whole thing with them to restock less crap over the winter.
Still haven't been to Sturgis, but it's on my plan for next summer. I'm going in with the notion that it will be crowded as hell, but I've got to go just to say I did it. My plan is to do the town of Sturgis 1 day, then ride the surrounding area for a couple of days.
Like most on here, I like the smaller rallies. They just seem more personable.
