2020-2022 Triglide Ultra...year depending upon new features that may show in the 2022. Otherwise will
get a low mileage one from "anywhere in the country" to drop in and drive it home. Did the same with my
current Can Am Spyder RTS(47k miles now). Fun times ahead.

Might go a little lighter than my Ultra. Looking at the BMW K-1600B
Will try to keep both.

Bought my next motorcycle a few hours ago. 2014 Ultra Limited. I knew the throttle and clutch were different from my Road King from the test ride, and the bike is more top heavy, but figured I will get used to it. But dang I didn't know how HOT it would be riding this thing about an hour home. Planning to de-cat and tune. Other ideas to cool it down?

Oh, my next, next bike will be to pull my first street bike out of the shed and fix it up. Bought it in '83. It's a 1972 Yamaha XS-650. Pic is from the day I bought it.

Awesome Yamaha! Are you keeping it original?

On the Ultra, careful about thinking the decatting will solve the issue. Heat gets generated at the first point of restriction which right now is the Cat. Once you remove that the muffler is the next first restriction and you may notice it gets hotter back there after you decat. That was my experience. Not bad for me, but the passengers feet might get the short end of the stick. Great bike though - congrats!

Lose the Stock exhaust and get it tuned. I have a D&D 2/1 right now, but it's getting replaced next month with Khrome Werks 2/2.
Bike was actually hotter before the cam and exhaust install.
The tune will richen up that lean setting and cool the bike down.
It's a great bike and even better with a proper tune.

Street Bob 114. I also like the new sportster except for the misshapen and misplaced pipes.

I absolutely love it. When I saw it for sale I was looking to sit on a 16B. The idea of it sounded interesting, but I admit I was concerned about the complexity of the design. The place didn't have one, but they had my RT. I'm a boxer guy from way back so I figured I should at least check it out. I'm glad I did. It exceeded all my expectations. It just may be the perfect bike for me. I wish I would have looked at them sooner. Not that the SGS I traded was a bad bike. Not at all. We had a blast on that bike and it was really nice looking. I got a lot of compliments on it everywhere I went. No one looks twice at the RT. It just blends in with all the other metrics basically.

You may want to at least try an RT when you check out the 16B. It's lighter so the power to weight ratio is similar. The 0-60 times and 1/4 mile times are very close contrary to what many believe. And coming off the Street Glide the thing is a rocket by comparison. Plenty enough for me.

Thanks for the exhaust info. Yes the Yamaha XS-650 will remain as stock as possible. I know lots of people make them into bobbers or cafe style, but I have too many memories of the bike the way it is. I had some dirt bikes growing up but the XS-650 was my first street bike.
