I would buy a new Harley if only they'd make a Honda Goldwing.

I had a RG form 13-16 but my riding style and desire changed so I traded it inl I actually never missed it.

The 1250 custom is looking less of a motorcycle that will meet my needs. I'm a bit disappointed about the single disc front brake system and detuned PA motor. The 2020 Vmax that only 2 dealers in central FL still have is still tugging at me.

Good luck to you and Cheryl. When riding becomes a chore, it is time to change it up or move onto something else for awhile.
Thanks for the good words guys. I'm not going anywhere. I've found that the best part of owning a Harley is the friendships I've made and the social events I've attended. I'll continue to do those and post here plenty. And to stay "legit" I may very well buy a Shovel to play with. Always wanted one. Maybe now is the time seeing as HD isn't making that Gold Wing yet.

I am a 70 year old man that has ridden two-wheelers since early '69.
I've had a lot of motorcycles (mostly H-D's an Hondas) and I currently have two two-wheelers (3 counting my wife's bike) and an '18 Tri-Glide in the garage.

Quite frankly, when you get a Tri-Glide the one thing that you get is stability.
You will no longer have to worry about "dropping" your bike (especially when you're riding two-up) at traffic lights, in slow turns or on wet roads even when you're riding in the rain or on gravel roads.
On the other hand, what you lose is MPG's, the effortless handling of a two-wheeler and the "leaning" into curves, and the ability to find parking spaces at crowded events.
Riding on a trike is NOT as comfortable or as effortless as riding on a two-wheeler and for a passenger it's far less comfortable so IF you plan to take a test ride on one by all means take your "significant other" with you and be sur that you travel on some curvy, bumpy roads so your and your passenger will get the true effects of a trike ride.

All that said, since buying my Tri-Glide in the summer of '18. I probably haven't rode the two-wheelers more than a few hundred miles nor have I taken them on a trip.

I'm very happy with my Tri-Glide and I've made a lot of changes to it in order to make it ride and handle better and I've also added a lot of accessories to make it "mine" and to also make it more comfortable and look better in addition to also making it more noticeable and visible (especially at night) to other vehicles for safety reasons.

At my age and a few 10-12 bikes over the years I found my perfect bike. 2015 FLHTCUL. Rushmore lowered by the MOCO. Air cooled not twin cooled. At 5’7 its perfect. i put it thru its paces too having ridden to Tyler, Tx on one trip and NOLA,Memphis and Williamstown,KY on another. They only made them water cooled ‘14 and ‘15, then twin cooled thru till ‘17. Then no more lows being made.

while the new softails look outstanding and i especially like the Electra glide standard with. 26.5 laden seat height. 2014-2015 FLHTCUL unladen seat height only 25.6. So until they start manufactoring water cooled only, FLHTCUL’s, i’m good.

if i was ten years younger i might have tried an Indian Roadmaster.

I’m considering trading the softail standard for either a street glide or possibly a chieftain
