I'm looking at dual sports. I like the current KLX 300, and debating on getting a KLX300R and plating it vs just buying a factory plated KLX300. However, I'm also considering the KTM EXC500F, but not sure I want to spend more then twice as much. I like the power and weight of the KTM, but I don't think I need it. I also like the Honda CRF300L, and would probably buy it, but I don't like the red.

I'm also keeping an eye on the used market, but the prices, especially for this type of bike, are too close to brand new.

I have a 15lb weight loss goal for the KLX route, and a 25 lb weight loss goal to earn the KTM

Got a coworker with a 2011 Sportster 1200 48. It has a stage 2(?) , it sounds and looks great. I could pick it up cheap and it looks like fun but I'm 60lbs too fat for it.

I think I'd look like this on it.

Not in the market, but having rented a Goldwing DCT, I would seriously consider one of those.

When and if the 900+ lbs. of my Ultra becomes unmanageable, I'd consider a Tri-Glide.

Indian challenger. Tired of messing with stiff clutch, clutch lever that is half a mile away from grip and suspension. 50k miles on my 2016 SGS of which I’ve only enjoyed less than 2k. If Indian can do a better job with clutch and suspension. Not sure what is making Harley to be mediocre.

My wife wants a Tri-Glide. I would be more tempted for a more cruiser like version of the PanAm.

Wanted a Triumph Rocket lll GT bad.
Now that they moved production to Chiland, not so much.
Don't know why it bothers me so much. "British Made!!!???" What's the diff?

Dealer in Denver tried to convince me the Rocket will still be made at the original factory?
Total BS from what I can search?

So; a Fat Bob?

I keep wanting to take one out for an extended (25-40 mile) test ride but am damn afraid I will like it too much.

That is a genuine risk:

My bike was built in Hinckley, UK. They moved production of the Rocket 3 back to the UK due to capacity issues, though Triumph still builds other bikes in Thailand. To me it isn't a big deal anyway; most manufacturers are using global assets to build products anyway. It's still done with their parts and quality standards, so where it gets assembled really shouldn't be of concern.
