Thanks! No, I no longer have it, but as far as I know the guy I sold it to still does. Was a great bike. I know he had a ton of miles on it last I had heard. Sorry, that's the only readily available picture I have. My wife gave me a photo session for my 40th, that's how I know it was 27 years ago, lol. Picture still hanging in my office. I have always loved Harley's retro styling, happy to see they are embracing it too.

Too bad they didn't use the paint scheme from the first Electra Glide. I would keep the same numbers of total sales but offer three paint schemes (500 of each) and use a Hi-Fi Red and Birch White, Hi-Fi Blue and Birch White and Black and Birch White... and also add fishtail mufflers and a 3-rail luggage rack as standard equipment

I don’t see the idea of you get more bike with a Streetglide Special. They are both 114s and both have RDS and infotainment. The Icon actually has more trim...seat rail, fender trim, two-tone paint, pinstriping, etc. while the Streetglide has LED lighting. I see them as equivalent in terms of value and offering. MSRP is close enough that its not worth quibbling over. It comes down to styling and availability. My local dealer does not mark up new bikes. It’s MSRP or discounted on new bikes. I see no reason to ever pay over MSRP for a bike. I got $3K off MSRP for my CVO and didn’t pay freight or setup. You have to be willing to look and travel if your local dealers are inflating prices. To me that is just BS and I won’t spend 1 penny at a dealer who has this practice. We have one about 40 minutes from me. When it was bought by new owners, they started jacking up prices and want to sucker you into talking payments. No thanks...

There was 6k mark up plus another $1300 in HB on a 14 CVO Road king if thats the bike your speaking about. At worst they made $4300 off of you just from the front end sale let along finance, parts, motor clothes in a sinking ship time sales time for Harley.

The frame, engine, bags, batwing, tank, wheels etc. are all current parts that are in use now or have been recently. The only thing I see that the MoCo made special are the seat, paint and badging.

Cool. Buy a new 2021 Harley FL and build it into a 2021 Electra Glide Revival for less money than what you'll pay for the genuine article.

Maybe the line should be called "Tribute Bikes". Tribute bikes can get away with modern day parts and are not as closely scrutinized for not being the real deal. I know it's semantics but whatever works.

Of course they made money...the point is i got it for $3K below MSRP and people should not give dealers business that inflate prices over MSRP. They made more when I had the engine built to a 117...ha ha! Anyway, bike is 7 years old now and not going anywhere.

Back to Revival, I think the price point is about right when you consider the price of a similarly equipped Streetglide or the price of a Limited with chrome engine and 2-tone paint. Expensive yes, but all the touring bikes have gone up significantly in the last 5 years. As I said in an earlier post, I won’t buy a new one. But I won’t buy any more new Harleys of any model. Too many good prices on used if your patient and willing to buy out of season. Who knows, maybe in 2-3 years I might pick up a used Revival in the winter time.

Apparently 30 were allocated here to the Australian market at $40000AUD and they sold out in a couple of hours. Be interested to see the take up in other parts of the world.
