For all the people complaining about price, isn't an SGS with custom paint and RDRS around 29K too? Not that the Revival is cheap, but from where I'm standing the pricing looks inline with most other Harleys, and I'm a little surprised it's not higher...
SGS with a color and RDRS $30,129. I was just at the dealer earlier but you get more bike with a loaded SGS.
The only thing unique on this bike is the banana seat and the tank. Everything else is straight from the parts bin. Saddlebag guards, batwing fairing, laced wheels, halogen lights. This is basically a CHP Cop bike, all dressed up without the cop stuff. You can take a cop bike and turn it into this if you wanted to.
It looks like they threw random parts on it and called it a day. It looks unfinished. But the history of it is unique. I wonder why HD chose that color setup when they first built the original one?
You're not going to be able to DIY build a 2021 Electra Glide Revival for less than what the MoCo is selling them for. Why all the negativity about this bike? If you don't like it, don't buy it.
Harley WANTS the law enforcement sales for a lot more reasons than just the realized profits from sales. Selling to LE agencies is a huge branding and identity deal for H-D. It keeps the brand out there in a highly visible way, and associates the company with (agree or disagree) the perception of uniformed officers, superior riders, and good guys who are authority figures. If it sounds a bit hokey, it’s actually not. It’s basically a tremendous way to advertise the brand.....hence the deals LE gets including warranties.
A lot of times the moco gets to buy them back and resell them used to the public. I remember they did this with the CHP back in the 80s
That 87 is a beautiful bike...that’s a classic that I could own. Has the EVO which has proven itself to be a reliable engine. Do you still own it? Any other pictures of it you could share?
