Harley-Davidson Confirms Limited Edition Electra Glide Revival

All the lights are incandescent. I guess that is part of reliving old history, does it come with an oil leak too?
I expected higher than base Electra Glide pricing but I did not expect Ultra level pricing with so many premium features missing.
So this is just a cool paint job and badging. You can probably do the seat after market. Damn this is some serious low effort profit packing

It looks like they threw random parts on it and called it a day. It looks unfinished. But the history of it is unique. I wonder why HD chose that color setup when they first built the original one?

The only thing unique on this bike is the banana seat and the tank. Everything else is straight from the parts bin. Saddlebag guards, batwing fairing, laced wheels, halogen lights. This is basically a CHP Cop bike, all dressed up without the cop stuff. You can take a cop bike and turn it into this if you wanted to.

This offering is basically just a re-badged Police Electra Glide all the way down to the seat. Based on the color of the saddlebags, they have the standard LEO white/beige paint. The paint on the tank is the only thing unique. You can get a stock Police LEO for a heck of a lot cheaper and just have the tank painted to your liking and save about $6K. A stock LEO Electra Glide without the LEO electronics is around $23K...except for the wheels and seat rail, everything else is identical.

And you could buy a 1974 Barracuda, put a crate hemi in it and brag how much you “saved” over a factory hemi cuda...
Actually; the only detail I DON’T like is the baby moon hubcap where the speedo should be...a bit more time in the Road King parts room would’ve finished off this bike properly retro for me.
I’m from that era and love SOME of the current retro look stuff; plus I can afford more now than when I was 17 (50 years ago)
