Thumbs up Back on a bike after 30 years

I took the Deluxe out to a Mississauga parking lot. I had the wife follow me. Once I was comfortable I had her up and we did some 8's, u-turns, fast stopping stuff.
All went well for my first ride in thirty years. It's like riding a bike. We are having a spectacular Easter Sunday. The Ham is in the oven.

Good to hear you are on 2 wheels ,good 4 the soul. Beware of the cars in the Toronto area, I certainly don't remember drivers being courteous in all my years of driving in T.O., and surrounding suburbs.
Stay very Alert, keep the rubber sides down.

I strongly urge you to take MSF Beginners Riding Course. You don't know what you don't know or what bad habits you still have.

Agree with taking a MSF riders course. I was self taught and off the bike for about 18 years. Amazing what you can learn if you are open to learning.

Enjoy the new ride. Just remember, people weren’t texting 30 years ago. Be careful of others.

Congrats! I sold my last bike in 1989. An ’85 FXRS. Took a 32 year hiatus and bought a new 2020 Street Glide late last fall. Just had to get used to the extra 150lbs or so. Still have my MC endorsement from 1985. Getting my 5k service this week.

Good for you brother. About 3 years ago I climbed back on after 20 years. Can't get me off now. Oh, wait, that didn't sound right....

Learning is always great. I went to the school of hard knocks the first fifteen years I rode. The real hard knocks only lasted the first year or two. I still remember vividly those early thrills and spills. The reasons they happened. This being the age of information proper motorcycle skills are but a click away. Practise is paramount. I will definitely strive to become a better rider daily. Hitting the parking lots for slow speed maneuvering. This time around I'm not a barfly.

Glad you decided to take up riding again after so long. I took a 20ish year break, and I have to agree with the previous posts. Take the MSF course. Not saying that you don't know how to ride, I found I forgot so much, and so much had changed over those years. Up to you, but I bet you won't regret it if you do! Take care, and ride safe!
