went to vintage motorcycle days in ohio, harley was there for demo rides. all 08's minus the rocker were there. Harley brought 7 V-Rods .All the air heads were first come first serve with a max 15 min wait. You had to make an appointment to ride the V-Rods. I think alot more riders are intrested in girly bikes the some people think .

I like them very much, especially the NRS. A friend of mine bought one as an occasional, faster ride to his RKC, I don't think the Road King seen much of the road since. Give me one and you can call me any name you like.

I demo'd a Street Rod last year - fine bike. It's actually what got me to thinking that I would actually own a Harley instead of a sportbike. I think the best looking version is the VRSCA in black (not the Night Rod), and I would certainly consider one for my next ride.

wow, for as many people in other threads say they hate them, the feedback has been pretty positive. but yeah, i agree, badass bike. the night rod special is the best looking, but i rode one and my arms and legs were both stretched out too much, and i'm 5'10. i need to ride a regular v rod now, i might consider buying one.

Wow, the term "Girly" caught fire.
Primarily I was referring to the fairing, tank and rear fender look.
Yeah, to each his own...I'm not knocking any-one's taste, was just speaking about my own.
That Night Rod does dothe vrodjustice.

I think their cool.
The only thing I didn't like was that it was not comfortable for me.
The bike just wasn't my style of riding position.
Other than that, I like the bike.

hey, so i don't want this to be a v-rod bashing forum. just a question. why do you love or hate v-rods?
note: "they're fer gays!" isn't what i'm looking for here. and i know you need to get out and ride and see what you like for yourself, so i don't need those answers either. just what you like about them, and what you don't like about them. thanks!

I like the NiteRod special more than any of the Vrods for looks and tall rider comfort more than any of the others. I think I'd ride the dog out of it.
My riding style however suggests I need a bagger.
I went with a used Wide Glide and some cheap-o saddlebags, and a detach windshieldfor a compromise between the two. In a perfect world with lots of big green $$ I'd have a bagger, my DWG AND a Vrod
