The picture of the guy with missing teeth is a little scarey! LOL

Just FYI:

The correct terminology is "Sprocket" and not pulley. A pulley has a flat face running a flat conveyor or drive belt. A v-belt fits in a Sheave and not a pulley. But a v-belt can run against it's back side on a flat faced idler. I was a Gates distributor for many years and they developed the Poly Chain for HD and they do refer to it as a sprocket because it has teeth,
I had wondered about that but always saw it referred to as a "pulley" on these forums. I (wrongly) assumed that since it was a belt, belt = pulley! I see that is not the case. Thank you for the clarification. But also, if the motor vs engine debate has shown us anything, old habits die hard. LoL

I'm with ya on that.
I don't know why they didn't just leave the 65T pulley
on the rear
Gonna either do the 27T primary, or the 34T trans pulley.
Works out about the same for gearing. Adds 5 mph ea gear
I need to address some minor susp issues 1st.

I don't think I've ever used 5th gear around town though.

I had also looked into swapping the engine sprocket to a higher tooth count. My RK I believe has a 25T and there is a 27T available.I think it was @TwiZted Biker that mentioned changing the engine pulley size may have some adverse effects for those who may run their engines at a lower RPM. Something about all of the increased ratio being transferred right to the transmission, instead of after it and only to the rear wheel with the 34T changeover. He may pop in and describe it much better than I could. Either way, I think changing the ratio is a good thing for those who ride their bikes in such a way as to benefit from the modification.

Not a fan of screwing with the motor sprocket on twinkies, they have enough issues tweaking cranks and compensators stock.

Can this be done on the rear sprocket. To accomplish what he did what would I need to do?

Yup, only problem with playing with rears is making sure the belt length is right or available to get the ratio your after. Kind of limits your choices.

Ive found a Garmin to be a more accurate way to measure actual speed as opposed to indicated speed. Ive seen them roadside speed indicators be off by 3mph
