I get them in my clutch hand a lot. Definately carpal tunnel. I hate to say this but losing weight can help (if you are overweight) - losing about 20 lbs will reduce overall fat, which you also have in your wrists, it contributes to impinging on the median nerve as it runs through the wrist bones - I lost 20lbs earlier this year, and they went away completely. Unfortunately when I put the weight back on, the pins and needles came back [>:]
Of course it can also be caused by inflammation brought on by repetitive motions or vibrations. Like pps have said, letting your arm hang down for a bit can relieve the feelings for a while.

first sign of carpal tunnel - had it in both hands - had surgery on both. Surgery fixes the problem but if one doesn't take care, the problem can come back. I have a throttle rocker and the ISO grips and I try not to grip too hard. Works wonders. Then again, hubby has cruise control - that works even better.

I get it now and again, but as previously stated, the tension screw on the throttle does wonders for relieving the need to hold the throttle the entire time. I secure the throttle and rest one arm at a time for a minute or so and that really helps.
