"Murdered" bikes always make me think of bikes like this. Seemed like a good idea at t he time, but ultimately, they don't stand up to the test of time. Really, it's just the photo-negative version. It just makes me shake my head....

 

^^^^ I couldn't even ride that bike unless I wore welder's goggles.....

 

Ya, that's just the opposite of the bike that is All Black... Looks just as bad in my opinion...




Don't need sunglasses to ride it, but too me, it's just as ugly...

 

Well, its a big ol goofy world, to quote John Prine. Some people put fork fangs and hand protectors on their bikes too (shudder). I prefer blacked out myself.

 

Right, to each his own.... that's why they produce bikes in different colors and in different styles.

I'd then pull the Orange Fork Reflectors, replace the Red Saddlebag Reflectors with inserts, and change all the tail light lenses to Smoked...
If that was the look I was going for...

 

I don't care for the blacked out bikes. The powder coat doesn't hold up and it fades over time. If your trading bikes every couple of years I suppose it doesn't matter.

 

Until they use the fading or chipping powdercoat as a way to knock down the trade in price!
