Default HELP!! My 1994 Sportster 1200 XLH is blurring out between 4500 and 5000 RPM

HELP!! My 1994 Sportster 1200 XLH is blurring out between 4500 and 5000 RPM, it sits nicely at 70 mph at 3500 RPM
I have stock ignition module, and stock carb and filter, not that I want to go fast, just feel it’s not performing as well as it should, top speed I can reach is just over 90 mph and the bike should be capable of 110 mph, was thinking of upgrading air filter, carb jet and Screamin eagle ignition module?
Thoughts please .

It's probably the whitewalls! LOL

Seriously though.......What do you mean by blurring out?

Its the aerodynamics of that rear fender that's holding you back. Please define "blurring out"...never heard that one before.

blurring out...loosing power? Check plug's gap. Maybe put in new plugs. Best guess today.

It splutters and feels like it wants to go but feels starved of something from 4700RPM up

On my XLCH, I had to change the air filter, exhaust and jetting to get it to run right over 65 mph, After I did the mods, with engine tuned, the bike ran great but at 105 mph the engine just started cutting out - bad. I just accepted 105 as the bike's top speed. I had a Honda in case I wanted to go faster.
Do a good Stage 1 and take it from there. My Road King needed a Power Commander to get it to run right.

It looks like you already have Harley "off road" mufflers and a decent air cleaner.
Maybe check in with an independent repair shop to check the tune. Maybe a carb clean and jet.
Cool looking bike.
