Left home Wednesday about 9:00, 41 degrees when we left headed to Joplin MO. Well it got down to 31 degrees going across the Cumberland Plateau and snow flurries. By Nashville it was back up to 41. We stoped in Van Buren MO for the night 441 miles, as planned. We like the Landing on the Current River and the Restaurant on site, high was 55 for the day. Thursday we rode over to Big Springs to see the largest fresh water springs in the USA, then on to Joplin. Didn't get up to 60 until we were in our Motel in Joplin. Rained on and off Thursday night, Friday and Saturday. Did sneak in a couple ride on Route 66, Galena KS is pretty cool as was Carthage MO. Also saw Bonnie and Clydes Garage Apartment in Joplin, where they killed a cop. Sunday was a beautiful day, sunny and 48 when we left for home, but warmed quickly, high of 71 degrees for the 661 mile ride home. Total of 1398 miles. Wife was on her own bike, 11 hours to get home with a lunch stop.

I'm heading for Michigan leaving out on May 8th. Was hoping for some decent weather heading north. Fingers crossed.
