Was able to ski and ride.

 

After wasting a few hours chasing electrical gremlins and getting nowhere, I got fed up and hit the road on Reaper. Got in a nice 150 miler, which made the earlier BS just melt away.

Of course, we're getting cold rain tomorrow, and a big snow dump on Thursday, so it'll be a few days before I'll get more saddle time.

Just hit the local roads in Honolulu on a parts run, I need bigger saddlebags.

 

About 350km today

 

I was able to get a 150 mile ride yesterday and about 50 the day before. Not bad for March here since the roads usually still have snow this time of year. Most riding I've done in March since moving up here.

First ride to work this year with the Sport Glide. 60km in total. A bit chilly in the morning with 4C, but a nice 23C in the afternoon.

 

My wife and I just got back from a business trip/short vacation. We were in 9 states from Ohio to Florida and the weather was fantastic for several consecutive days. Sunny and 80s from Charlotte to Daytona and beyond. Huge numbers of people out and about. The bars and gathering spots were mostly jammed up. We drove a combination of secondary roads and the super slab.....probably 1:1. In all that time and miles I’ll bet we didn’t see a total of 100 motorcycles. We both commented how few people were riding. Pretty amazing, considering how fine the weather was.

 

About 260 miles yesterday, nice mix of straight, flat two lanes through the blooming almond & pistachio orchards, then some serious twisties through the mountains, had lunch & rode back the same way.

 

Went on a ride to Galveston yesterday, then rode over to the BMX track where my grandson was participating in state BMX races. Total of about 175 miles - about 30 of those miles in the rain. Not bad for an old Grandma, huh.
