I can beat that tease, 3 miles around the block. Warmed it up and testing new driveway. Pulled out on pad then down and out to street. No more gravel driveway and a nice 28’x40’ pad. It’s on now. Jump and go. No thinking on turning in gravel. Soon bike will be in a geerage. Christmas is good.

Driveway is about 110’ long for perspective. I am a pointer sister, so excited!

Maybe 10 miles - half to warm up the engine for oil change and half afterwards for levels check.

Put on 82 miles after hanging Christmas Lights.

Filled her up and put fuel stabilizer in.

Looking at the forecast for the next week or so. Think I may be time to let her sit for awhile.

That sounds like a very nice and fun IBA SS1000.

If you can believe it, I managed to get myself dressed and out on the bike today without the assistance of our local knowitall.

The bike rode nice and it was allegedly smooth as silk up to about 95.
Turned in my first real ride after the rebuild today.
150 miles on a December Sunday isn't too bad.
Looped around Ortega Highway (74) past the old Hell's Kitchen site, down into Lake Elsinore to the new location, then up I-15 and back home.

The fresh seat was great, too!

It was fantastic. If I didn't have a time commitment, I would have turned it into a BunBurner Gold. I was just in the zone and felt great. The last 100 miles didn't feel any different than the first. May hit 40,000 for the year if I keep at it.

My wife doesn't have the same time flexibility as I do, but she is trying to keep her riding skills up. She's only had her license for 18 months. On Saturday we got all our house chores done before 3:00. Then we went on a ride to get chicken wings and a beer. Two lane back roads all the way. She did great, keeping speed through the corners and a good line. (I try to look in the mirror as much as possible to see how she's doing) It was upper 50's when we left but sun went down before we got home, it was right around 50 degrees. Might need to get her some heated gloves for Christmas. Total only 48 miles, but good time.

Heated gloves or heated grips are always good for the hands. Along with a heated jacket liner. After I got mine I wondered why I did not do it sooner.
