We got about 45 miles in yesterday, never made it to the promised 50° and the sun also never made an appearance. Nice lunch in Moriches then over to The Maples to watch the Giants game. Threat of rain got everyone back out and on the road, some drops of rain on the way home. But we got back dry and I watched the end of the game on my couch. Rained good after dinner. No picks from the road, but grabbed this one in the yard before putting her away. Better than no ride, Toy Run this Saturday, we will see how the weather and time plays out.

Since it didn't snow in Las Vegas today I went on a 200 mile putt.

That looks like some of the rocks on the valley of fire.

Snuck in about 70 miles today on a lunch run before work. It was low 30's here in central Indiana but the right gear kept me roasty toasty.

You're close. This is a little rest stop on the Northshore Road that runs along Lake Mead.

Left at 7:45 am today for breakfast. 33 degrees.

Headed to the Lighthouse Grill outside Lillington NC on Old 421. Closed. I should have checked for a sign on the door. Their Facebook page is down. I fear they may be closed for good. Too, too bad.
Brass Kettle was closed, because it’s Tuesday. ?
Tramway Diner is never closed.
Hallelujah. Great breakfast.
It got up to 48 on the way home but windy as heck.
110 miles.

So gotta ask.. I see many back rests. Is that for your back or to keep the heat off ya when your wives/girlfriends sit back there? I’ve had two back surgeries and neither went well, a back rest really wouldn’t help me and in truth rides don’t bother my back in the least. But when the wife hops on the back she pushes me uncomfortably forward and then makes my back sweat clinging. Hence some threads I’m asking about RK, RG and Electra’s. Need room for two up. Sad really cause I’m very comfy on my softail other than wishing the seat was two more inches back.

Even without a backrest my wife would really have to put a lot of effort into leaning forward and causing that to happen. She also only weighs about 93 pounds so its like having a little kid back there, haha. Even if she were "normal" sized I feel there is still plenty of room between us both. I love having the back rest for long rides and sometimes she likes holding on to it when I'm not leaning against it.
