75.1 Miles
Saturday morning started out with bright sunshine coming through the windows with. 12 mph wind blowing.
The Carolina Girl volunteered to work until noon at the vet clinic. I did the trimming in the yard, worked on my gas powered blower and put the Gerbing heated gear plug ins on Ginger getting ready for winter riding.
About 1pm we were ready to roll. The winds were down to about 6 mph, temps in the 60’s and it’s time to ride.
We went to a late lunch at Pete’s in Clemmons. The next stop was at Smokin HD where we got Ginger safety inspected. They have a nice inventory of bikes there right now. It’s always nice to visit all the employees.
As we rolled by toward home I decided to stop at the Station were we enjoyed a Red Oak and visited with friends before heading home right at dark.
The Carolina Girl and I both commented on what a nice day it was.
This sweet 64 Ford was at Pete’s Restaurant when we arrived. Such a beautiful automobile.
At one point there were six bikes at the Station in downtown Mocksville.
You gotta love Classic Rewind on XM Radio.
Not a big mileage day, but a wonderful day on two wheels with my bestest gal!

Blue Ridge Parkway 140.4 Miles
The Carolina Girl and I rode 140.4 miles today. What we call our Fall Colors Ride.
We went up on the BRP to an elevation of 3700 feet.
If you would like to see the complete write up and a few dozen pictures I posted them in the Road Trips section. Page 96 starting at post 959.

I got in 121 miles on a very busy day. 50 degrees when I pulled out of garage to ride to church. 59 degrees for the 60 mile ride to AmVets to help run the Turkey shoot we do to rain money for Christmas baskets. 71 degrees for the 30 miles to the Marina for a few beers with friends. Then home about 30 minutes before sunset. Beautiful day.

This might not look like much but 47* when I left, had to hit the interstate for around 16 miles, got to show a VA examiner why I no longer have a belly button then looped around Kentucky from Clarksville back to the house, another gorgeous day to be out before the gloom of winter sets in
