Had snow last week and sunny and 70 degrees today. Rode 99 miles to the Flat Tops area and back.

Heading home.

Well today sucked. Thought I was gonna have a great last ride. Weather was supposed to be sunny with a high of 60. Instead it was cold, dark and gray, and really windy.

Cut the ride short, came home and put the bike away. That's it for this year. Forecast calls for snow next week!!

Sorry your ride didn't work out for you , yah , this time of year sucks , takes awhile to get used to it . I get cranky and short tempered , until I get into my other hobby's , then I'm alright again .

I went for 2 hrs , having the heated gear made it really nice , accept for the winds , gusts up to 50k's , but I still enjoyed it .

The bike will get a good cleaning tomorrow and get covered up for another season , oh well .

I was out of town for 8 days, 4 for Amvets State Executive Committee meetings. Then 4 at a Friends Log home in Maggie Valley to ride 4 wheelers and visit.

Yesterday I rode 42 miles round trip to pick up the bottle pictured in your post. Thats a really good pour, my other bottle of it has one drink left. I'll riding by there on todays ride so I'll get another.

We were at Patti's 1800 Settlement yesterday, didn't buy anything, but they keep a very nice liquor selection in one of the stores to include their own labeled moonshine.

Thanks to @kojak 's thread I've learned about Gambrill State park north of Frederick so it was my destination today. Great ride, then went west on MD40 to 11 south and back home. 187 miles in total. Today I wasn't tricked by the sun while in the driveway, so went out with heated liner and had a great time even though it was really windy.

next time you go to gambrills, take the road till you make a left on tower road (a really winding narrow paved road) and take it to rte 77, hang a right and ride through catoctin springs area and then hook up to rte 15 which will take you back down. A really fun ride.

I had not heard of this. It would be a nice destination for an overnight ride, about 4.5 hours a way.

I had a nice 97 mile ride yesterday checking out the new riders back rest. Need to adjust it slightly forward I think. Stopped by my liquor store and picked up a couple more.

Patti's is a good destination any time of year for the 2" pork chops and mile high meringue pies, but for motorcycles, it did peak a couple weeks ago. The best route to do from the east is get off at Clarksville, go through Dover on up through Land Between the Lakes. On the way back, get back off I-24 at Cadiz then head towards Hopkinsville, meander through tobacco country on over to Cookeville then jump back on I-40.

They should make air fresheners replicating tobacco being fired in barns.
